On 24th April 2020, the President of the United States publicly discussed the use of ‘disinfectant’ as a potential treatment for Covid-19, with former coronavirus response coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx.
Donald Trump faced widespread backlash for his comments, saying, “I see the disinfectant that knocks it (Covid) out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning.”
