Aluminium and fibreglass boats are more delicate than traditional boats, and require specialised cleaning techniques and products. Household cleaning products may etch the surface and strip away wax, but specialised marine cleaning products are neutral pH seven. Aluminium cleaner is specifically designed to remove water-line stains and oxidised dullness. Don’t use too strong of a cleaner as this can leave the surface chemical scoured and look ugly.
