Former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease Dr. Anthony Fauci testified before a Republican-led House panel after a fifteen-month probe of the former government scientist and the origins of the COVID-19 virus.
In one tense exchange between Fauci and Republican Congresswoman Debbie Lesko, the latter asked whether Fauci cited an article during a press conference at the White House, “because the NIH director asked you to suppress this lab leak theory? Fauci replied, “I did not do that in response to anybody’s suggestion to suppress anything.” Lesko responded, “Well we have emails to prove it,” for which Fauci shot back: “No, you don’t.”
When discussing those who either weren’t able, or those who refused to take a COVID-19 vaccine, Fauci stated, they were “probably responsible for additional 200-300K deaths in U.S.”
