NSW Coronavirus Update – Thursday 10th March 2022 | 7NEWS

NSW Coronavirus Update: COVID cases have begun spiking again in New South Wales. NSW Health says reported case rates continue to be highest in people aged 10-19 years.

Health Minister Brad Hazzard said today that data showed new COVID-19 cases would double within the next 4 to 6 weeks.

There were 16,288 positive test results notified in the 24 hours to 4pm yesterday, and 4 deaths.

“The latest data indicates that reported cases of COVID-19 have increased in NSW, while hospital and intensive care unit (ICU) admissions for people with COVID-19 have stabilised during the last two weeks after previously declining. Reported cases of COVID-19 in NSW have increased from 11,338 on 3 March to 16,288 today, a week later. Reported case rates continue to be highest in people aged 10-19 years.”
