Even though another variant has been detected in the country, experts believe it will be difficult or even impossible for the government to implement lockdowns. In a media briefing yesterday, Health Minister Dr Joe Phaahla said the country had been advised that it was not necessary to impose travel bans on countries affected by the new variant.
